She is known for her four-octave vocal range as well as her signature use of the whistle register which have received critical acclaim by media and critics. Grande has received numerous accolades throughout her career which include two Grammy Awards, one Brit Award as well as one Bambi Award, two Billboard Music Awards Three American Music Awards, nine MTV Video Music Awards, and 30 Guinness World Records.


Grande started her musical career when she was 15 years old and appeared in the Broadway musical 13 (2008 Broadway). Grande rose to stardom as Cat Valentine on Nickelodeon's television series Victorious (2010 until 2013) and as Sam & Cat(2013 - 2014). After viewing YouTube videos of Grande performing her own songs, Republic Records signed Grande in the year 2011. The 1950s-doo-wop-inspired R&B and debut pop album"[2] Yours Truly (2013) it reached the top ten of the US Billboard Hot 100. Grande's voice and whistle sounds on the album were instantly in comparison to Mariah Carey.


In her third and second studio albums, My Everything (2014), and Dangerous Woman (2016), she explored pop and R&B. My Everything was an experiment in EDM. Its hits "Problem", Break Free, as well as "Bang Bang" became a worldwide hit. Dangerous Woman was her first number-one album in the UK. Sweetener (2018) as well as Thank U, Next (2019) was her fourth and fifth studio albums, respectively, that featured trap music. Both of these albums were critically and commercially well-received. Sweetener won the Grammy Award for Best Pop Vocal Album and the album Thank U, Next broke the record for the biggest streaming week for a popular album and was nominated for Album of the Year. Grande was the first solo artist in history to be in the top three spots on the Hot 100 and become the first woman to achieve the number one position in the UK Singles Chart with the singles "Thank U. Next", "7 Rings" and "Break up with Your Girlfriend. Grande beat the Hot 100 record for the most number-one debuts with Justin Bieber's collaboration in 2020 "Stuck with U" with Lady Gaga. The latter earned her the Grammy Award for Best Pop Duo/Group Performance. Grande added trap to her sixth studio album Positions (2020), where both the album's title track as well as the album itself debuted at #1 in the UK. Grande joined forces with The Weeknd to record the remix to "Save Your Tears" in 2021. It was her sixth highest-rated US single.
