Kari Sam Wuhrer, born on 28th April 1968 is an American singer and actress. Wuhrer started her acting career when she was in her teens. Her best-known character was for her role as Maggie Beckett from the TV show Sliders as well as her role as the character Sheriff Samantha Parker on the horror film Eight Legged Freaks. She is the youngest of her three siblings. She began singing in club nights as a teenager. She often would leave her home to perform. Following her studies in acting at the Wooster School at 13 years old she pursued a degree in drama at the New York University's Tisch School of the Arts in Marymount Manhattan College and Columbia University. She also studied in the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts under the renowned Uta Hagen. She was a Brookfield local was born in Brookfield Connecticut on the 28th day of April, 1967. Her father is an German American policeman as well as a salesperson for autos. Kari is the youngest of three siblings. In her teens, she performed in nightclubs when she would sneak away and perform. At 13 years old, she began her acting career. young, Kari studied acting at the Wooster School. Later, she was enrolled in drama classes at the Tisch School of the Arts in New York University, Columbia University, Marymount Manhattan College; plus, the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art along with the renowned professor Uta Hagen. Kari was introduced to acting at 13 and got her breakthrough in 1987 when she appeared on MTV Remote Control.
