Amber Benson bio

Amber Benson is an American actress, director, and producer. Most famously, she is known for her part as Tara Maclay on the TV series Buffy the Vampire Slayer and was also the director and appeared in her own film Chance and Lovers Liars & Lunatics. Benson also appeared in the movie Kiss the Bride. Benson was the youngest of children born to Edward Benson and Diane Benson. Her birthplace was Birmingham, Alabama on the 8th of January 1977. Danielle Benson, the sister of her is an accomplished artist. Benson was raised in a Reform Synagogue with the Reform Jewish mother as well as her Jewish father. Benson has appeared involved in numerous TV and movie shows in the years since Buffy ended, has also appeared in The Killing Jar. Behind the camera Benson also used her talents as a writer to write The Ghosts of Albion television series. In 2010 she directed Drones.
